M/515 Phase 1 Informal Review

Informal Review of 2nd Generation Eurocodes

Under Mandate M/515, CEN TC 250 is developing the second generation of the EN Eurocodes, expected to be published soon after 2020.

As part of this work, SC7's Project Team (PT) 1 has produced its final (October 2017) draft of prEN 1997-1:202x, Geotechnical design - General rules. Likewise, SC10's PT1 has produced its final draft of prEN 1990:202x, Basis of structural and geotechnical design.

Both documents are now subject to an Informal Review by National Standards Bodies, which ends on 31st January 2018.

To help geotechnical engineers understand the importance of these drafts and the way in which they can comment on them, Chris Danilewicz (Chair B/526) and Andrew Bond (Chair SC7) will present a brief overview of the Informal Review process and the technical topics to look out for during a tele-conference on:

Thursday 30th November 2017
Online, 14.00h GMT start
(connection open from 13.00h GMT)

A link that will allow you to join this tele-conference will be posted HERE week commencing 27th November 2017:
